Dr. Bradley Bakotic

Accomplished Pathologist and Podiatrist

Dr. Bradley Bakotic

Dr. Bradley Bakotic is a triple board-certified physician whose career in medicine has seen him begin his education in the fields of podiatry and then move to pathology where he focused most on aspects of pathology that most related to his former profession (skin, bone, and soft tissue).

Most recently, he has rekindled an interest in general pathology and cytopathology. In that vein, Dr Bakotic is working in a temporary role as a clinical and anatomic pathologist at Southern Ohio Medical Center; he previously cared for patients at pathology practices in Texas and Florida. Dr. Bradley Bakotic maintains medical licenses in seven states and is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists.

Dr. Bakotic’s work in the field of pathology has focused specifically on advancing care in the subspecialty of dermatopathology. The only physician with podiatric training in the United States who, along with board certifications in anatomic and clinical pathology, is board certified in dermatopathology, he has served on the editorial board of Dermatopathology Practical & Conceptual. Dr. Bakotic’s own research has been published in the same peer-reviewed journal, and he has presented on topics in dermatopathology at numerous educational meetings.

Dr. Bradley Bakotic has similarly helped to educate the next generation of podiatrists as a lecturer at six of the top eight podiatry schools in the country. Likewise, he has shared his knowledge with colleagues as a speaker at gatherings of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, the International Foot and Ankle Foundation, and other professional organizations. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management and has received an honorary doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he maintains a faculty appointment.

From 2004 to 2008, Dr. Bradley Bakotic combined his expertise in pathology and podiatry to serve as the director of the Institute for Podiatric Pathology in Pompano Beach, Florida. As the chief executive officer of Bako Integrated Physician Solutions, he enhanced podiatry care by providing podiatrists with anatomic and clinical pathology services.
